Ice Breaker Abilene, Tx 2-22-09 : It was a good time at Abilene. Lots of good racing and and excellent track, I thought. On Sunday Chad Ebel with Racedayprints.com was busy trying to get everyone the photos and items they wanted. I continued to shoot, but I messed up. I was taking still photos before heat races. After the heat races started I forgot to change my my camera settings and that is why alot of the racing action looks darker. I apologize for this as i could have slapped myself when I realized it Monday after I finally got to start to look at them. I have tried to correct them and some look better than others. Alot look fine. Also if there are any photos that you wish to purchase and it says "the photo is to small to buy this item", please contact me and I will lead you thru the simple process of getting you the larger photo you would like. I just need the day, photo number and event it was. If there is a photo you would like with the Ice Breaker border that Racedayprints.com had, let me know and we can also get you that way. Beatrice Spring Nationals 3-19-09 practice : Great night for a practice..Lots of cars and people in the pits. looks to be a great weekend as they are saying rain will hold off till late Saturday but good possibility of it Sunday. Marshalltown Speedway Frostbuster 4-3-09 pit shots : If you have any suggestions plese let me know. Also please sign the guestbook!!! Great day for a race. Marshalltown was a perfect setting for a great night of racing!! Fortunatley for the 204 cars, drivers, pit crew and fans the racing and good time had by all were better than my pictures. I tried to do some different things which included shooting in turn 3-4 catwalk and that did not work with no light and my flash going down fast. With the catwalks full there was no where to go but the middle. No better luck there as it is very dark and my flash battery wore down, I had to get my other battery in the middle of the sport mod feature. Well with the new battery it did improve some but the lighting at Marshalltown is very dark. I have never shot there before, unless you include last years Sotck Car Shoot Out and that was minimal. But anyway I could not find a good place to get good shots like I like. Sorry that the pictures pretty well are not up to snuff I think after it got dark. Still some good ones but more bad than good.

This will be for each class that raced at Marshalltown on Friday night. Mods, Sport Mods, Stocks, Hobby Stocks, and Mod lights. Yes, each division winner will be awarded a FREE 12 x 18 Custom Best in Show poster. This is not the thumbs up/thumbs down but AN ACTUAL COMMENT. Stuart Speedway 6-21-09 John Wetzel Memorial : I have some rather unfortunate news for this set of pictures. I am missing all of the hobby stock feature and post race pics.. I am sorry for this. Something in my Apple computer made my picture program quit working. I was doing numerous things and it shut down. I was importing the Stuart photos at that time and when I noticed today it was too late as I emptied the card last night when I went to the USMTS show. I have a bazillion cards but this time it just so happened I never checked to make sure all photos were there and used the card from Stuart with out looking. They were not and I can't find them. WDRL Mineral City Speedway Ft. Dodge, IA 7-13-09 : Nice Faclities on my first trip to Mineral City Speedway in Ft Dodge, Iowa. Started at 730p and were over by 945p. Would Have been nice to have a few more cars. Bob Hill drove Brandon Leemans topless sport mod tonight. Kevin Sather battled it out with Mark Lettow for the win. Chris Simpson won the 40 lap $6800 late model race. I had serious issues with the batteries for my flash. they all were dead so it seemed. I did not get many pictures of the sport mod race or the winners because of this. Time to throw out the old double aa rechargables and make sure I put my big boxes on the charger.

Cool McCool 100 @ JMS 10-17-09 McCool Junction, NE : I did not go through all of these pictures and remove all the cloudy, fuzzy or out of focus pictures. I also started the upload process at 2am and went to bed. When i got up they were only half uploaded, so I have to stop and get out of the motel room. This is what wireless internet gets you. Need to have ethernet connections. Will finish uploading later. YES, THE FIRST PICTURES YOU SEE ARE THE HOT LAPS AND IT WAS DUSTY THEN. THEY APPLIED WATER THROUGH OUT THE NIGHT. IT WAS A DRY SLICK TRACK. TIRES WERE USED.
